XYZ Robotics Inc. is one startup that is committed to meeting the challenge with a combination of machine learning and robotic manipulation.
MIT and CMU Robotics PhDs founded XYZ Robotics Inc, in April 2018. We apply our technology to automate material handling for a wide range of items with speed and accuracy. We have developed systems to automate the process of item picking and sorting in warehouses and sorting centers. The systems are successfully deployed in leading logistic and retailing company's warehouses.

The founders of XYZ Robotics have experience in developing robotic manipulation from their academic training and various competitions.
Jiaji Zhou

CEO and Chief Scientist Jiaji Zhou has a Ph.D. in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. He also worked on pushing modeling based-on machine learning and his paper won the best paper award at 2016 International Conference on Robotics and Automation.

CTO Peter has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work on experimental data set for pushing manipulation was a best paper finalist at 2016 International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. At the 2017 Amazon Robotics Challenge, he was the technical lead for the MIT-Princeton team that championed the stowing task. At RoboCup in Nagoya, Japan, his team's system was capable of picking and placing a wide variety of novel warehouse goods and finished the task the fastest.
CFO Lianglibo Xing has a master degree in Economics from Peking University. He formerly worked in the headquarter of ICBC, the world's leading commercial bank.
